That's a Wrap: Litterpicking Season 2023

Our 2023 litterpicking season ended on a high note with a fully booked event. This  has been the 3rd consecutive year our popular Pick & Chips: Meet Up - Clean Up - Eat Up events and to date, we collected a whopping 3.5 tonnes (500+sacks) of roadside litter and engaged 280 volunteers.

Collecting litter in our beautiful remote location is both depressing and gratifying and as our founder and co-owner, Sarah Heward, puts it, the last event demonstrated why we need to persevere in our efforts: "I'm a seasoned litterpicker but what I witnessed and cleaned up today was more akin to whole scale vandalism of the countryside. I always try and focus on the positives of these events, like the feeling of accomplishment and lunch afterwards and most importantly the lovely volunteers, but today I found it hard going. It was a stark demonstration of the best and worst of society."

A big THANK YOU to all our incredible volunteers who joined us this season.

As we head into 2024, we're excited to continue our litterpicking efforts. Our 2024 Pick N Chips programme will soon be announced on our litterpicking webpage and on our social media.

We hope you have a fantastic winter, and if you happen to be passing by, drop in for a fish tea and a blether. See you in 2024!
