Tyndrum

The Real Food Cafe is situated on the main A82 and the West Highland Way at Tyndrum approximately half way between Glasgow and Fort William which makes it an ideal stopping off point to eat, drink and rest a little.

It is approximately 60 miles North West of Glasgow and 38 Miles East of Oban which is an attractive town and ferry port for passage to the Western Isles. It is 50 miles from Fort William and Ben Nevis.

Although the village of Tyndrum only has 130 residents over 4,000,000 vehicles pass through every year, in addition to 50,000 walkers and cyclists on the West Highland Way. Tyndrum is also well known amongst rail enthusiasts as the smallest community in Britain with 2 railway stations, so all in all, it's a busy little intersection!

Tyndrum also has a gold mine very much in the news at present because although it is currently closed, gold has been successfully mined at Tyndrum and moves are afoot to re-open the mine at Coronish Farm during 2012/13.
